About:
I am a contemporary artist based in North London, where my studio serves as the engine room for my creative process.
My journey into art didn’t start in a sterile classroom; it began in the visceral, tactile world of a paint shop. Growing up above the family business in Finsbury Park, my childhood was spent surrounded by the machinery of color. While other children were playing with toys, I was exploring a playground of color charts, mixing machines, and endless pots of pigment. That early immersion didn't just teach me about color theory—it hardwired an obsession with how paint moves, behaves, and transforms a space.
By 2012, after years of absorbing the grit and energy of London’s diverse subcultures, I began to use the canvas as my primary storybook. I realized that my work needed to be as complex and layered as the city that raised me. Today, my signature style is a deliberate collision of influences: the sharp precision of hyperrealism, the defiant energy of graffiti, and the vibrant, bold accessibility of Pop Art.
I believe that art should be an experience, not just a static image. Every piece I create is hand-painted on canvas using traditional oil paints. This choice of medium is intentional—oil allows for a depth and luminosity that other materials simply cannot replicate. It allows me to build the "edgy vibe" that collectors have come to recognize, blending classical technique with contemporary, street-inspired narratives.
My creative path has been as varied as the subjects I paint. It has taken me into the music world, where I have had the privilege to collaborate with icons like Blondie and The Specials. These experiences shaped my understanding of how art can intersect with culture and sound, pushing me to ensure that my paintings hold that same level of rhythmic intensity.
My work has now been exhibited and sold worldwide, finding homes in private collections across the globe. Perhaps most rewarding, however, have been the commissions I have taken on for fellow creatives, including a memorable project for Ricky Wilson of the Kaiser Chiefs. These moments remind me that my work resonates with people who are also deeply embedded in the creative arts.
Whether you are looking for a statement piece for your home or a commissioned work that tells your own personal story, I approach every canvas with the same dedication I learned in that Finsbury Park paint shop all those years ago: a focus on quality, a love for the craft, and a relentless pursuit of the perfect color.
